Windsor, Gandhi and Christ
I have been away for some time from the Motor City of Canada. The other day when I looked at the data after more than an year, I learnt that we have not yet suceeded in getting rid of the economic woes from which we have been suffering. My belief has been that Windsor has the strengths to be able to lead the way for Canada. But for it to happen, the leaders of the city have to sit with the intellectuals, to do a swot analysis dispassionately and to work with passion to implement the plan, which may emerge from such a brainstorming. The intellectuals and the leaders should be persons, who can understand the pain of the city. Some of the millionaires in our society and some of the intellectuals may feel no empathy with the hoi polloi. Such persons will not be able to contribute any thing. You require persons, who can think like a Gandhi and who can solve a problem, considered to be too hard to even make an attempt. Gandhi was an out-of-the-box thinker. Moreover he was like Christ, who loved the poorest and the unwashed masses and who would refuse to hate even the great slave drivers of his times.
